GridHQ Apply

A fund writes cheques. A platform builds companies.

GridHQ was built by Towergate Capital in Manchester, because the hardest part of building is rarely the money.

Why it exists

The same thing kept happening. A company would raise, and the raise would not be the problem. The problem was the engineer who was available three months ago and is not now, the buyer somebody two companies away already sells to, the decision nobody could remember the reason for, and the introduction that quietly stopped being real.

Capital is one line on that list. GridHQ is the system for the rest of it.

How it sits under Towergate Capital

Towergate Capital is the parent company. It provides the capital, the mandate and the network, and it owns the UK patent application behind GridHQ. GridHQ is the execution layer, where its companies are actually built, and it is deliberately built to be joined by people Towergate has not invested in.

GridHQ is an operating platform, not a regulated financial service, and Towergate Capital Ltd is not currently authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Manchester

The group is headquartered at 1 St Peter's Square in Manchester, and GridHQ is designed to become a founder campus in the North rather than another London platform with a regional page. That campus is a plan and is described as one: what exists and what is intended are kept apart on purpose.

What is actually built

The platform, the opportunity engine, the ecosystem infrastructure and the nine-stage pathway are the product. The campus is not built. There are no photographs of a facility on this site because there is nothing to photograph, and there are no portfolio statistics because publishing numbers that have not happened is how a platform loses the only thing it is selling.
