GridHQ Apply

Everything a cheque does not buy.

GridHQ is where a company states what it needs and gets back the specific arrangement that is available to it today: the operator, the capital, the customer, the introduction, and the first step.

Apply as a founder

What do I actually get?

A named requirement matched to named parties. GridHQ holds what your company is building, what it needs and what has changed, and puts an arrangement in front of you when one is genuinely available. Alongside that you get the group's live infrastructure: identity from Confrmo, verification from VCode and correspondence from Couri, which are three things you no longer have to build.

Does GridHQ invest?

GridHQ is the operating environment. Towergate Capital is the parent company and the capital layer, and it does invest. Applying to GridHQ is not an application for investment, but capital is one of the things the Grid matches against, and Towergate sees what comes through it.

Can it help me hire?

That is one of the strongest cases for it. Operators and engineers join the Grid on the same terms as founders, and they are matched to a specific part in a specific company rather than to a job advert. The person who could unblock you may already be eight weeks free.

Can it help me find customers?

Routes to market are a first-class party in an arrangement, not an afterthought. Frequently the most valuable thing in an ecosystem is that somebody two companies away already sells to the buyer you are chasing.

What about legal and IP?

The group has filed patents in the UK across identity, verification and now GridHQ itself, so this is a road it has walked. It is a need you can select when you apply, and it is matched like any other.

How does matching actually work?

An opportunity is assembled from parties who each qualify for a named part in it, and it is only shown while all of them still qualify. When one stops, it is withdrawn before anybody acts on it. That mechanism is the subject of a UK patent application, GB2619192.4.

What happens after I apply?

A person reads it, usually within a few working days, and you hear back either way with the specific reason. If it is a yes there is a short conversation, and then your company enters the Grid with its requirements stated rather than implied.

What does it cost?

GridHQ opens by introduction and application, and commercial terms are discussed in that conversation rather than published here. Apply to discuss access. If cost is the blocker, say so in the application; it is a useful thing for us to know.

What do I need before applying?

Very little. Your name, what you are building in plain terms, what you need next, and the single biggest thing standing in the way. Traction helps but its absence is not disqualifying.

What could move your company forward?

Tell us what you are building and what is stopping it. A few minutes, read by a person.
