GridHQ Apply

Find companies before the deck reaches your inbox.

By the time a deck arrives, the round is a process. GridHQ holds what a company is building, what it needs and what changed this week, and matches that against a mandate you have actually stated.

What GridHQ matches on

A mandate, not a mailing list.

The reason most deal flow is noise is that it is broadcast. GridHQ only puts a company in front of you when the arrangement works, and it states why it thinks so.

  • StageWhere the company genuinely is, taken from the work in the platform rather than from a pitch.
  • SectorWhat it actually does, and the sectors you actually deploy into rather than the ones on your website.
  • GeographyWhere the company is, and where your mandate lets you write.
  • RequirementWhat it says it needs next, which is frequently not only money.
  • TicketThe size it is raising against the size you write, so neither of you wastes a meeting.
  • Lead or followWhether the round already has a lead, and whether you want to be one.
  • TractionWhat has changed since last month, not a static snapshot from the day the profile was made.
  • Beyond capitalThe customers, hiring or market access you bring, which is often why a founder picks you.

Why this is different

An opportunity that expires quietly is worse than none.

Every network hands you an introduction and then stops paying attention. GridHQ treats an opportunity as something that stays true or stops being true, and withdraws it when it stops, without exposing whose circumstances changed.

Network system for managing multi-party arrangements

An opportunity that depends on several people stops being an opportunity the moment one of them is no longer who they were. GridHQ withdraws it before anyone acts on it, and does so without telling the others whose circumstances changed.

The full filing

A UK patent application is not a granted patent. It secures a filing date while the invention is examined, and it may be amended, refused or withdrawn. GridHQ is patent pending. It is not patented, and this site will not say that it is until the register says so.

Is this a fund?

No. GridHQ is the operating environment. Towergate Capital is the parent company and the capital layer, and it is a separate thing with its own mandate. Joining the GridHQ investor network is not an investment in Towergate and it is not a commitment to co-invest.

What do you need from me?

A precise mandate. Sectors and stages you genuinely deploy into, the cheque range, geography, whether you lead, and what you bring beyond capital. A precise mandate is what makes a match worth sending; a vague one produces the noise you already have.

How often would I hear from you?

Only when an arrangement fits. The point of continuous qualification is that you are not sent a company that has already changed, and not sent a weekly digest of everything.

What about confidentiality?

A withdrawn opportunity tells the other parties that it is no longer available and not whose circumstances changed. The same applies to you: a pause in deployment is not announced on your behalf.

Do you show me everything?

No, and that is the product. If GridHQ cannot see why an arrangement works, it does not send it.

Can I bring companies in?

Yes. Investors and operators can point companies at the Grid, and that is one of the more useful things a network member does.

State a mandate. See what fits it.

Tell us what you deploy into and what you bring beyond capital.
